Three times now in a few days I've gotten the oddest insect bites--two on either side of my face, and one on my chest. My friend got one too on her neck. They all started out the same. Neither of us noticed an insect or felt a bite but suddenly realized that we were oozing blood out of a spot on our skin. Once wiping away the blood, a small red dot was apparent, which continued to bleed for a few minutes. The next day, it became a painful and itchy raised bump. What could this be?? We are both at college in Indiana, and have not been spending excessive amounts of time outdoors. For instance, I got mine just walking to class. It's starting to freak me out though, and I'd appreciate anyone's knowledge.
