What is this bump on my foot?
I have had a bump on my foot for a couple months. I didnt think it was anything serious so I didnt tell anyone. But there is a HUGE bump on the left side of my left foot. It hurts when it bumps into something, or someone touches it. I wear a size 3. The bump is only on that foot, not on the other one. What is the bump? Could it be serious?
It is most likely a ganglion cyst which is not harmful but can be drained with a needle @ the Dr's office or surgically removed if painful. A cyst is usually slightly movable when you rub it with your fingers and sometimes if you push you can tell its fluid filled.
It could also be a bony deformity caused by arthritis or trauma(bunion)
