Does anyone else have Scheuermanns diesease?
Im kinda looking for a support group...im only 13 and have about a 60 degree curvature in my middle back, and the lower back goes in really far. From the side it looks like an S. The doctor said surgery is the only option and im scared out of my mind because all the forums ive looked at say the surgery is extremely painful and hard to recover from. If anyone has had the surgery I would love if you would answer these qeustions:
How bad does it hurt and for how long?
How long was the procedure?
Does it limit your movement at all?
Does your back look normal now?
Please help. Even if you havent had the surgery, please comment so i know you're out there. Im freaking out...
I don't have the disease, but I hope you find good support and just work through it. There is a boy in my school who has it but he has not had any surgery for it. Don't worry, I'm sure it will all work out. Hope all goes well!
