i got stung sunday on my toe (the one next to my pinky toe) & its been red , swollen & itchy . its been 4 days . half my foot is also swollen & itchy & red . ive been putting antihistamine cream on it . when will this go away ? am i allergic ?
if it spreds over more of my foot , should i go to the doctor ? also , if it doesnt go away by friday (remeber this happended sunday) , should i go to the doctor ? |

You are not allergic or you would have noticed a red streak going up your leg from the bite. Put Caladryl on it and take Benadryl. The hospital would have given you a shot of Benadryl to help it get better faster. Use ice for swelling, 20 minutes of every hour. It should go any day now. |

No you are not allergic if you were you would have experienced breathing problems make sure that the stinger is out of sting use a credit card or other type of card and scrape the sting never pull the stinger out the head of the stinger will remain in the site. Take an allergy medication brand doesn't matter just one that says antihistamine...this will really help when you get stung your body produces to much histamine so take the meds for a couple days you will feel better pretty fast...try not to scratch the sting it will make your body produce more histamine and make you itch even more so keep applying antihistamine cream and put ice pack on it will reduce the swelling but take the oral antihistamine medication as soon as possible it really works pretty fast...feel better:) |
