I am 5'6" about 110 lbs. most people say I am underweight. Be thankful that you DO have some curves..I am more on the "twig" side. As long as you feel healthy - I think you are just fine. (well maybe try to gain a few pounds but, I know it isn't that easy) Good luck! |

if you truly what to find out if you have a high body fat percentage, find a gym or some place that has a electronic resistance scale.
My high school had one, it would send an electric current through you body from one food to the other and depending on how much resistance you body placed on the signal it would total you fat percentage Then give you a readout of it findings.
I is a lot more accurate than those cheep bmi scales that you can get at the store. |

Darling I hate to break it to you but according to the BMI calculation, you are severely underweight. As a matter a fact, you are in the starvation level (anything lower that 16.5).
You need to seek professional help a.s.a.p.! You might have a illness, or you might have an eating disorder and not realize it, honestly I'm not going to judge you, but please, find a specialist that can help diagnose you!
I hate to break it to you, but if this continues, you will die very soon. I don't expect you to live another year like this.
Please seek help!
I'm rooting for you!
I wish you all the best! Good luck! |

Yes. You are underweight. You probably dont hear this a lot, but eat more.
Well, actually, it depends on your age. Not exactly height. Well, I dont think so. |

BMI calculators should all give the same answer (a number). If they haven't, then they are incorrect.
BMI is calculated by your weight (in kg) divided by the square of your height (in metres). I get a BMI of 15 using your weight of 95 pounds (43.09kg) and height of 1.68m (5'6"). Normal healthy BMI is 20-25.
The real issue here then is why your curves bother you? Curves are normal and healthy on a woman, and your BMI is particularly low. At that weight, I suspect your curves are bony prominences, which CANNOT be affected by weight loss.
I would be concerned if your BMI dropped any lower, but obviously I can't see you so it would be out of my place to comment on whether or not your weight was healthy. Be aware that at your age if you are TOO skinny there are serious permanent health problems, including fertility-related issues.
I can say authoritatively that you are not obese :-) Strictly speaking, by the BMI classification you are markedly underweight. I am not making any judgement call, so please don't take offense.
Keep in mind that weight is just an arbitrary number and it is more important that you feel happy in your body. If you don't and you are already quite light (and you are), then maybe weight loss isn't the answer and you could examine other avenues? At your age body image issues are a very common and very normal problem, so don't feel alone or like you're the only one. I understand you are probably very tall for your age, and the other girls may not have developed as quickly as you have (curves), but in the long run things will even out and I'm sure you will be fabulous.
Take care. |

sry, but you are underweight for sure, curves or no
talk to your doctor if all the BMI calculators are giving you different answers. |

for girls you are supposed to be 100 pounds for 5 feet, and add 5 pounds to every inch after that
so you SHOULD way 130 to be HEALTHY
95 pounds for someone being 5'6 is unbelievably skinny. I am 5'6 and weigh 128. |

I am 5'6 and i weigh 132 pounds. According to my doctor that is perfect weight. I have alittle bit of curves but they are seeeexy (and all the boys love them). You should gain a bit of weight, i highly doubt weighing 95 pounds at our height you would have the slightest bit of curves! |

Curves don't make a person fat. They are just that: curves. You sound like you are at a perfectly fine height and weight and properly proportionate. BMI calculators don't take a lot of things in consideration.
If you feel awkward, it's ok because everyone at some point in their life feels that way, and it's normal. Everyone is built in a unique and different way and it's what makes the human race beautiful. Just remember to love yourself. It never hurts to talk to a doctor or a fitness trainer if something may concern you or you want to work a target area. Good luck! |
