Go to the doctor and ask for Veramyst - it's a new decongestant/antihistime on the market now. It's been great. |

It is possible you have an allergy, therefore OTC will never work for long. Or a infection. See a doctor. |

Often a sinus problem goes with gingivitis. Well, not surprising there, backwash from the mouth will contaminate the sinus cavities. But this same gingivitis appears to be implicated in both heart disease and cancers, so taking a check of oral health makes good preventative maintenance if we have sinusitis or heart problems. |

it could be that OTC Medications will work for sinus congestion as a result of mucus production. Could you have a sinus infection?
I know that this sounds sick - but next time you blow your nose, look at it! Normal sinus mucus should be whitish or clear. If it is greenish or yellowish - it is a good sign that you may have a infection and should see a doctor.
If it is an infection, OTC medications will not do much to clear it up because that cause is the bacteria, and not your body. Antibiotics may be needed. |

I agree, try a neti pot. It's rather miraculous... It just rinses out your sinuses with salt water and is painless...
