Why are so many people so misinformed when it comes to HPV???

So many people have it, yet no one seems to have accurate information about it!!! I know my doctor didn't do a good job about explaining it, but that's why I bought books and did my own research. I wanted to know EVERYTHING about it. However, so many people have some really wack ideas and facts about it on here and it's bothering the hell out of me!!! What's the problem???

HUMAN PAPALLOMA VIRUS (i think thats how u spell it..lol) n e way, i know a lot about it, just cant spell it. people are misinformed because of there own ignorance. i think people are not getting checked out as often as they should and so they dont even know they have it in a lotta cases. women dont really get symptoms till later on. men would know maybe a few weeks later. n e way. im glad i am blessed and highly favored!

That's mostly because the information on it is being "promoted" in order to sell mandatory vaccinations as well as drugs to manage the side effects of the vaccination. That doesn't make it correct, valid or even in context. It's about siphoning billions of dollars to the drug companies.

You are so right. Almost half of the population in America has this disease. Some don't even show symptoms of it which is why it is so widely spread. I have it myself, I got it from my boyfriend of 2 years and he did not show symptoms at all. I did the whole ton of research on it as well, and you are right, when you talk to the doctor they don't give you thorough information. Mine told me that my boyfriend was cheating on me and I would more than likely have herpes. Some people get warts while others do not. Needless to say I never went back to her and found a different doctor. We had only been together for a short amount of time (6 months) when I found out I had it. But what people don't know is that it could take months for it to show up, and that is only if you have symptoms of it. I was a bit unfortunate and did get the warts. They went away on their own and I will probably never have them again according to the research I did. But I still carry the virus. It just seems like ALL STD's are stereotyped in a horrible category. Like if you have one it is the plague or something. Btw, I am still with him, 2 and a half years now, but if something does happen any partner (not even sure if I want another one) will be warned straight off the rip. I don't want to spread this illness. And no, you can't get it from the toilet seat lol. Take care and good luck :D
