Generalized anxiety disorder?
Ive been on paxil, ativan and zoloft over the past year and none have worked. What will the psychiatrist give me next??
Celexa is a good drug to help treat anxiety and depression. I have GAD and when I took zoloft it didn't really help my anxiety. Medication is not the only answer to anxiety though and many factors will help your anxiety. Just taking medication is not enough. Regular exercise will help reduce your anxiety and trying different strategies to control your anxiety (breathing exercises, positive self talk) will help as well. I would recommend seeing a therapist, ones who specialize in a therapy called dialectial behaviorial therapy (DBT) are amazing at helping people learn to manage their anxiety. One thing that helps me is either taking a cold shower then slowly increasing the heat or holding my head under freezing water for 30 seconds. It's not very pleasant but it can really help especially during a panic attack. A combination of drug therapy and other strategies is the best way to help you manage your anxiety.

I would suggest seeing someone else. You should be making progress with therapy along with taking medication.
I have really bad anxiety too. Try going to the gym or for a walk. It might also help.
