Why did my pinky finger keep twitching?
so, early last week, I was attacked by a sink.lol. nah jk. but I slipped in my bathroom at my house and tried to grab onto the sink to break my fall but the sink came down completely off the wall and crushed my left hand. I wound up getting cut on my middle and pointer finger. ultimately, I needed 12 stitches. I got the stitches out Wednesday and now my hand is healing pretty well. I still can't bend those two fingers but I figure, with time and when they have more time to heal, I'll be able to bend my fingers again. anyway, today about an hour ago, I notcied that my pinky finger kept twitching! I was like wtfff? it looks so strange lol. but I know that if this happens all the time it may be caused bu something serious. so I'm scared. it twitched like 5 different times but always eventually stopped after maybe like 10-15 seconds...if that. I told my mom and she just attributed it to the "trauma" on my hand that I very recently experienced. I read online that the twitching could be a small seizure caused by epilepsey and i have epilepsy in my family so I'm terrified it could be that. vie never had a seizure or a black out or any of that..so its unlikely. but I'm scared it could be maybe something else. so far, the twitching has stopped but for now, I'm gonna say that the twitching is from the entire pedastal sink falling on my hand lol however, what gets me is that the cuts are not on my pinky so idk. advice guys? please don't terrify me! thoughts? thanks! @alex nelson: -______-

Seriously Jenn - don't be concerned unless you get some other symptoms. I'm sure it's not a coincidence that the twitching is on the area that you hurt. Think of it as nothing more than a little cramp. A muscle is firing involuntarily. I tore my hamstring right out of the socket once, and as it healed it would fire off involuntarily also. I'm sure it has something to do with blood flow and nerves.

If you have not previously experienced epilepsy I think not to be concerned for now. Your mom is probably correct in that your hand has suffered trauma, and it will take some for it to return to a normal state. However should the pinky keep the twitching after a couple weeks, you should get a check up, just to be safe. j~
