I'm 18 years old, I graduated last month and I do have a job. But it's part time. Whenever school is out I like to stay up late and sleep in because it's summer vacation. But today I slept for 12 hours. It's hard to go to sleep no matter what I do. I take melatonin sometimes but I don't want to too much. I don't go to bed until 2-6 AM sometimes and I wake up at 9 AM-2 pm. I went to bed last night a lil after 4:30 am and woke up today at 4 pm something. What's wrong?
And no matter how much I sleep I'm still tired. |

Since you are technically still in your adolescent years, your body needs a lot of energy to go through your day. You should still try to go to bed at a reasonable bedtime or earlier depending on how fast you fall asleep. (e.g. go to bed at around 10, fall asleep at 12). The melatonin you take could make you feel tired still because it is not a natural sleep. (For me, I am still tired after taking it). I hope this helps!! |

I don't think anything is wrong.
For me, the less sleep..the better I feel.
But going to a doctor is a good idea if you feel it is a problem. |

A lot of young adults or even adults in general, feel like they need more sleep due to their busy schedule and their diet. If you feel like it's becoming a problem, you should go to a doctor and they'll be able to give you a sleep study. |
