whats the best pain reliever that i can take regulary without bad side effects for pinched nerve?
I have a pinched nerve in my shoulder blade just below it. I have Used a heating pad, icy hot, aleve which I heard can cause bad side effects when to much is taken same with aspirn I was wondering if there was one I could take more of like ibprofin which I heard can't hurt u as bad its been two days and it shows no sign of stopping.
your best bet is not medicine but therapy, stretching, and possibly surgery.
The anti-inflammatories like aspirin and ibuprofen my reduce pain but will not fix the cause.
sometimes physical therapy can dramatically reduce the compression of the nerve, obviating the need for medication.
another medication option is Neurontin which is prescribed by a physician and is meant for neuropathic pain. it does have side effects though and does not fix the cause of the pain (mechanical compression), But sometimes it can help while you undergo other therapy, at least untill the problem is solved.
good luck
