after a few beers on a saturday and sunday for the next 3-4 days i have a horrible taste in my mouth, what causes this and how do you get rid of this??

Try adding a teaspoon of salt to a mug of warm water and gargle with it.

Try brushing your tounge with baking soda...but there could be medical reasons... would you mind appending your Q to tell us what the taste is? (metallic, bog water, bread-y?).

Your toncles are located in the back of your throat. Plaque gets trapped in the folds of the toncles itself, the smell & taste is putred to mention the least. Usually we sawllow the plaque unconsciencly. Probably this is what it is. Sometimes you'll see a whitish dot in your toncles and thats what it is. You'll gag if you try and remove it, it won't kill you though.

I dont know if this could be a possiblity but it could be heartburn or GERD...

I usually get the same thing after a stressful evening of poker or something...but it usually comes a day after.

My heartburn isn't that bad though...but it is troublesome....I say stay away from stressful situations if you can...and if not...take an antacid...(although they are not good for you)

Try drinking some pickle or olive juice (the brine they are canned in) and then plenty of water. I learned this from a old bartender and it works.

U could start by brushing your teeth and then using scope. If all else fails..try eating garlic that will fix that bad taste.Hell it will fix aything-LOL!!
