No, it doesn't hurt.. I remember when I was little my mom would take me to the dentist, and I always thought it was a regular check up but I found out they pulled out so many teeth.. I remember when it was over, the dentist showed me teeth, and i'd always ask where do thoughs come from. So it doesn't hurt because they give you ansthetic, but it will be numb after. I don't know why people are so scared.. it's not like it's root canal or getting you're wisdom teeth pulled up |

its not like you going to get your tooth pulled without any anaesthetic, so while you are getting operated on, it wont hurt, and it possibly wont hurt after the anaesthetic wheres off.
theses days, the needles (especially dental needles) dont hurt at all, and you barley feel the needle.
a lot of the time the stress before the dentist is much worse than the treatment.
good luck!!!

well if your dentist isnt a moron then he should give you a good amount of numbing medication so you shouldnt feel it, but it will be tender after the numbing wears off and until the holes heal up. so you can ask him to prescribe some RX strength ib profin or something for that.
I havent had any teeth pulled in probably 10 years so my memory is vague, but i dont remember it being painful... and i have a very low tolerance for pain. |

They will give you something to numb your mouth so the process shouldn't be too painful, but afterwards once the numbness goes away, you probably will feel pain. I think they can prescribe pain medication or you can take OTC pain meds to help the pain. Always check with the dentist to see what he/she recommends.
Good Luck and hang in there! |

The shot of novocaine hurts a little but not when you get your teeth pulled. |

Dental surgeries never hurt during if they've drugged you up properly. It's the afterwards that's uncomfortable. |

probably won't be. my dad used to tie a string around my wobbling tooth and pull, i don't remember it hurting. but at the dentist it definitely won't. |

To me, it hurts. I have to be put under. To do this, I have to see a specialist. Not everyone has the same issue with having teeth pulled. Some people say they don't feel a thing! It depends completely upon how YOU FEEL. If you are frightened, I don't think that helps. Let your dentist know how you are feeling and what your concerns are. Hope this helps. |

it doesn't hurt while they pull them out because youre numb. But after that wears off, heck yeah they hurt |

They will numb it a lot! when i was little i got both of my kanines pulled and they gave me like seven shots of novacane, and i didn't feel a thing. You could also try nitroxide(laughing gas) it makes you happy and not as scared |

not much pain at all because you will be basically high on drugs! |

Not much. Discomfort as far as having a foreign feeling in your mouth but you can have your dentist prescribe you painkillers and never go through any pain.
I had my wisdom teeth removed, in a grueling, ugly procedure, because they were growing out crooked; I took painkillers and was never in any serious pain. Now I feel a zillion percent better because of it. |

As long as you get anesthesia, then no. :)
Depending on which teeth they are though, the level of pain will vary. Once the numbing the dentist does wears off then it may ache for a couple of days if it is a molar/wisdom tooth. Incisors and bicuspid removal is not as painful as those back teeth.
Good luck! |

it will only hurt after the pain meds wear off but over the counter meds will cover it |

ya they will freeze you up, so you don't feel a thing ? are you talking about wisdom teeth or baby teeth if they think the tooth is kinda lose they might try to pull it without any freezing which may hurt |

It will not hurt at all, they numb everything surrounding the tooth. It doesnt hurt, during any part of it, but you do feel it, when the tooth is taking out. Its a painfull, feeling, it just feels strange. And even after the numbness wares off, a day later, it still wont hurt you. (This is of course, if your doing it at a dentists, if your not....well get ready for a whole lot of pain.)
=p. Dont worry, it will be painless. |

The process doesnt hurt that much because of freezing. It does however hurt for a few days after. |

I just had one of mine pulled last Thurs. The dentist put in plenty of novacane and I didn't feel anything. However it has been a little sore the last few days but that is going away. |

When I got my tooth pulled, it didn't hurt that much. In fact, I don't think it hurt at all really, because they put this medicine in your mouth so it doesn't hurt. It might hurt for a millisecond, but that's it. |

Well let me be honest. When i was about 8 - 10, i had to get 2 teeth pulled out since my adult teeth were coming in and growing crooked since the baby teeth weren't out yet (they were growing beside them).
So for both times, they didn't freeze it or use anything to numb it. But maybe that's because the teeth were a bit loose already. For the first tooth, they used a machine to yank it out. Second tooth, they just twisted it out with their bare hands! It hurt pretty bad like a huge pinch.
Well, good luck! |

the shot has a lilltle sting, but the tooth pulling just has a lot of pressure to it, and sort of a small sting when it fully comes out.. but everyone takes pain differently |

Only when they put the needle in to numb your mouth.
Good Luck! |

No as long as they freeze it! |

They put this benzocaine gel on the spot and you hardly even feel it.
I use to be scared to deal of the needles in my mouth but it wasnt bad at all. |

It doesn't hurt if they numb your mouth or give you gas. I remember when I was little I got some teeth pulled, and they made me choose this scented thing that goes over my nose, and they told me to breathe in it. Of course, at the time, I had no idea that they had gassed me, and I didn't feel a thing. |
