Change the overstressful things in your life which you can change, and change your reaction to those things you can't change. Stress is part of life but sometimes it gets out of hand.
To change the overstressful things maybe list them, what it is about them that causes you problems, and what you can do in response (learn new skills, remove yourself from the situation, be more/less assertive etc etc)
To change your reaction there is only one way I know of - meditation. With practice you realise that you can in fact choose how you respond to situations and are not at their mercy
And of course, exercise, music, a little alcohol etc all help you take time out in the meantime. Good luck |

If you want to lose some excess energy - run it off! Use the stairs at work if possible. the time you are using to run off the energy can be used to make a list of priorities so you can keep things in order. Just keep asking yourself what needs to be done most? You'll find your way in your new job soon enough. GoodLuck |

ummm...I read in Reader's Digest that if you're a little coped up with work and stuff, you should enjoy yourself for a moment (have an ice cream, get a manicure). It should make work easier, or maybe less stressful. I think it should work. Mind you, I've never tried it. |

Take time out during each day and write down all of your problems. Tell yourself everything good you can think of that would make you feel better. Talk about what you are feeling to friends and family. Exercise everyday. That helps with my stress. At least 30 minutes. Go to a spa every once in a while and get a massage. |

I would say - do not fast!! You need all your energy right now. If you want to try fasting, do it at a time when you don't have to go to work for a while.
Meditation is great and works for soem people.
Here is something tat works for everyone!
1. Do some exercise - something you like. It doesn't have to be hours down the gym. Even housework is a form of exercise! As you do the exercise, think of what makes you stressed. Eg, if your boss is getting you down, fantasise that you are hoovering him up!! That will help dilute the tension - because you are expressing it rather than holding it inside you.
2. After the exercise, RELAX. Give yourself time to learn this, try at least ten minutes each day, before you go to sleep. Find a safe place. Put phones onto ansaphone. Play your favourite relaxing music. Help yourself to let go of stress systematically from head to toe. Clench and release eavery muscle.
3.I know that when you don't have much time this can seem too much to do - but it really will help you to relax and concentrate better.
Please don't forget what I said about fasting - to help your concentration you need to eat good food - start with a good breakfast.
Sorry if I sound like a Mom, but I am a health professional and this really will be of help if you try it.
Good luck! |

Just make sure you leave some time for yourself. drop whatever you are doing and read a book or watch a movie or go for a walk. If you give yourself a break once in a while maybe you wouldn't be so stressed. |

Stress has a nasty habit of creeping up on people so the fact that you recognise that you are stressed is half the battle. Forget about fasting and meditation you need to ID what exactly it is in your job that is causing the stress and then you can try to eliminate it ( as long as it is not a person that is ha! ha! ha! )

Clean house. Takes your mind off everything gets you active. Meditation is good. Make sure you can do it uninterrupted. Fasting really won't relieve your stress. You will feel better though. |
