If you've both been tested before without showing chlamydia, it's possible that this means he was cheating...
It's also possible he had it and it just took this long for you to catch it if you were using condoms. But if you've both tested negative before that's quite suspicious. |

Chlamydia is known as a "silent" disease because about three quarters of infected women and about half of infected men have no symptoms. If symptoms do occur, they usually appear within 1 to 3 weeks after exposure. |

hmmm....sounds like he's not clear after all. I would definitely talk to him about this. get tested together, so there is absolutely no confusion. It's up to you whether you want to believe him, but I would say no. |

99.999% sure one of you has not been monogamous, sorry to say. Has he even been tested recently for chlamydia? |

If it isn't from you then he's cheating or cheated, and there is treatment see your local Planned Parenthood, or Gynecologist. Best wishes to you! |

How has he told you that he's "clear"? By showing you his recent lab results? Or by lying? |

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chlamydia, "[n]ot all infected people exhibit symptoms of infection. About half of all men and three-quarters of all women who have chlamydia have no symptoms and do not know that they are infected." Also "chlamydia is known as the 'Silent Epidemic' because in women, it may not cause any symptom and will linger for months or years before being discovered" whereas in men" chlamydia may not cause any symptoms." |

Uhhh, he's clear because he went to the doctor and got rid of it... Chlamydia can't lie dormant for that long, someone must have picked it up outside the relationship. At least it was Chylmidia which is curable and not herpes or something you would have for the rest of your life. You'd better dump this guy because one of you has been sleeping around and from your question it doesn't sound like it was you.
Sorry this has happened to you :( |

No offense, and I hate to say it, but it sounds like either your partner has cheated or they've had it before and didn't know. |
