Is anyone else coping with a long term long leg cast?
I have been in and out of long leg casts for the past five years due to a non union fracture of my left femur, knee and related tissue damage. My life from sleeping, bathing, traveling and even doing simple trips is a challenge. You can live a normal life with a cast, but its not fun or easy, its akward meeting people and you attract stares and some pretty strange people! LOL
I recently broke my leg slipping on some wet stairs. Like you, they gave me a big cast.

i had reconstructive surgery on my left leg and was in a cast for 4 months and in and out of wheelchairs and crutches forever. i still have more than 6 months in my recovery so i know how you feel. good luck
