If my roommate chooses to use his own first aid kit which seems to have pretty much almost everything and a nurse student instead of going to real doctor/nurse and the nurse student go along with his wish, did the nurse student violate any kind of ethnical? Also how much does a nurse student know? Is it safer to have them treat you than trying it yourself or someone who have no knowledge? I’ve talk to her a couple time and once I asked her why is she doing this even if she isn’t even a nurse yet, she say that if she didn’t do it then he may go to someone else (which is true and have done it!) to try get whatever injury he came up with taken care of. She also says that it is a good practice and experience. I’m a bit worried that this is just not right, but want to hear from someone who is in the medical field. Thanks. She have sewn up a cut he got twice and once got him to go to hospital when she suspect he got a torn tendon in his arm which turned out to be a really bad sprain.
