every 3 months OR after you have been SICK to prevent yourself from reinfecting yourself.
If you keep several family members toothbrushes in an area where they touch, then I would throw them all out and get new ones and keep the sick person's new toothbrush AWAY from the other ones.

I might be too late in telling you this but YES! You should change
your tooth brush every 3 months if you are brushing more than
twice daily then even sooner Please don't breath on me |
