I would think that the best thing for you to do would be to bring a toothbrush to school to school. You could buy a fold up one that would be small and a small toothpaste. You will be more comfortable then |

There is this thing that is like a plastic needle, you tie floss around it, and weave through your braces. There is proxy brushes, and of course, toothbrushes. Ask your orthodontist. |

someone said eat chewing gum, dont!!! it'll get stuck oy your brace and you have to pull out in strands which is horrendously embarrassing!! just bring a brush and dont bother with toothpaste if your a little shy about having to spit and brush and all that, water will do fine! good luck xx |

i have that problem too - what i do is - (assuming you're a girl) go to the toilets, take a compact mirror and a toothpick - it works because im in the same situation - getting food stuck in my braces. |

Bring an extra toothbrush and toothpaste to school. Brush after lunch. Also, buy those floss sticks to get those hard to get to areas. |

Go to the bathroom and just rinse out your mouth with water, or bring a small mouthwash. This will prevent cavities, too! I had braces for 4 years, and I know how awful it is. Goodluck, I hope it helps. |

123..WAIT!

Go in the bathroom and swish really good, bring toothpicks just in case, then get those "brush up" things. They are individually packed disposable toothbrushes with the toothpaste on them that fit on your finger....it's just a small little packet. Look in the toothpaste section at the drug store. |

you should be taking a spare double ended toothbrush to school with you....the two ends should be a normal toothbrush and the other end should be a smaller brush to get between the brackets |

You can get a ting called a fuzzy brush, it's a mini brush covered in this minty powder that you chew and it cleans your teeth and then you just stick it in the bin after here's a web site telling you about them: http://www.moderngent.com/site/fuzzybrush_testimonial.php |

You can buy little things, that are kind of stiff at one end, that have bristles you can clean with. Check various dental sites, etc for them.
Also, (but these are less discrete) you can buy, from Boots and other health stores, Oral-B slip on toothbrush. It's like a thing you can slip onto your finger and you clean your teeth and braces with them. |
