If i was to quit smoking now..?
i've been smoking 10 a day for about 3 years. if i quit now and never smoke another cigarette again, in years to come will my lungs be as healthy as a non smokers?
It'd probably take about 20 years for you lungs to completely repair and be as good as they were before you started.
I'd highly recommend you do everything in your power to stop. It's a highly addictive disease to smoke, and something that will hurt you in the long run. It's one of the top killers in the united states.

10 a day aint that bad it would not take that long to be clear

If you are under 40 years of age, your lungs will be as good as new in about 2 months.
Please do quit! You'll never regret it!

yes,i would say 10 years''[and you,ll be as good as new,i smoked 20 a day for over 30 years.i gave up a year and 3 months ago, stopping smoking is the most healthiest thing you could ever do,mind you it wasn't easy, but my advice is put the money you would have spent on cigs in a jar and save it up,and no matter what you do ,don't give in don't even have a sly one,cos all that does is you wanting another and another,so don't have any at all,the very best of luck you can do it.

Odds seem pretty good that after several months you won't have a much higher risk of health problems than lifelong non-smokers. As the doc mentioned already, you'll get some of your senses back within just hours/days of quitting. Your skin will also improve, as smoking introduces CO into your system, which starves organs of oxygen.
Good luck in quitting, it will be worth it.

Yes, it wouldn't take long to get back to clear lungs. Your sense of taste will be the first thing to come back though and you'll be amazed at how much you've been missing. Give it a shot! Good luck
