if one of the partners have an STD then of corse you can get it. You just have to get tested to be sure wether or not you will get one to be completely sure. |

Yes it doesnt stop just because you are married. If you were single and had the std and got married, you still could have it, unless you got treated. Or if one of you is playing around, duh, yeah, there you go. |

Being married does not protect you from anything.
The germs do not know your marital status. If neither partner has the disease nor do the partners engage in any extra marital behavior then they can not pass it own to each other. |

Yes... its not about being married or not.. its about being monogimus (being with only each other), perhaps one of you had an STD without knowing it... some can be very nasty and lay almost undetected for a long time and then... ouch. |

If one is not faithful, then yes, of course |

If you were both without STDs before getting married and now all of a sudden one of you has one, then somebody's got some explaining to do! Sounds like someone has been unfaithful to me. |

of course you can! if either of you has stds before you were married you can still get them now. your wedding vows don't make the stds go away.
now.. if neither of you had an std before you were married and one does now.. there is a problem. like a cheating problem. you should probably see whats going on here... are you cheating.. why? is your husband cheating and if so where did the stds come from?
stds don't care if you are married, a victim of rape, or losing your virginity at the age of 16 with the one you are going to spend the rest of your life with.
ps... you can get crabs from a toilet seat. just so you know. |

Unfortunately yes; some STDs take a while to appear of flare up. That happened to my husband. If this is the case with you it's not the end of the world; just talk to each other and don't blame. I'd also get tested for other STDs because you never know, but don't automatically assume someone is cheating; however, don't exclude adultery when discussing where this "problem" may have come from. Hope this helps! |

Well if one or both carried an STD before they got married then sure why not. Also if one of them is unfaithful and brings something home then yet again they could get it. Honesty is key so make sure you really trust your partner. By the way you really cant trust anyone so dont always be so trusting. |

you dont eeven have to cheat and could marry as virgins, if one is a drug addict and shares needles, they could still catch an STD and pass it to their partner |

No, Getting married takes all of your STD's away! Come on, I know you might be 12 but just think before you ask. |

Here's my question to you: Does marriage prevent STD's?
People contract and spread STD's whether married, single, gay, straight, bi. It depends on what the person is doing and with whom. |
