I don't understand why anyone would be on a 6 mg dose of klonopin ; the normal adult dose is up to 2 mg, and is usually even less than that and taken in divided doses. 6 mg is too much and is most assuredly not the way it was prescribed.
Peak levels of klonopin take between 1 - 6 hours to be reached, but that's for a normal dose. If you need information about the pharmacology of excessive dosing, I recommend contacting a pharmacist. Some will answer questions by phone.
People who are prescribed narcotics legally need to take them responsibly or else be prepared to face the consequences, be it a trip to the ER or jail. Benzodiazepine overdoses are very common and can be extremely dangerous.
