ever since i can remember, my hands and feet have always been very cold even when it's 70 or 80 inside the house. right now ive been under my covers for about 15 minutes and my feet are freezing. my hands constantly are cold and every time i touch someone or hold their hand, they always make a comment about them. i dont think my vains pump very much blood to them, is this a problem?
its been starting to bother me. im 16, i eat healthy and occasionally work out but nothing is working.. |

Try taking some sea kelp pills. Your diet may be healthy, but you may not be getting enough iodine to regulate your thyroid properly. More people than you think are not getting enough iodine in their diets, and iodine intake is usually overlooked unless you have enough symptoms to point to hypo or hyperthyroidism. Try it and see if you feel better. |

The reason is that when your blood drops off oxygen and picks up carbon dioxide it also takes heat with it. Since your hands and especially feet are away from your core and have little fat or muscle, they lose more heat than they can gain from the environment, thus, they become cold. |

I study acupuncture and lots of people have this problem. Some people are really hot, some really cold (like the person above me explained). Some people have really bad circulation leading to cold hands and feet and a few acupuncture sessions can often help clear it up. Otherwise, I'm not sure what you could do as there aren't really many other solutions I know of. Try eating warmer foods, it might help but probably won't solve it completely. Goodluck! |

You likely have poor circulation, which means your blood is not pumping vigorously through your extremities. Daily, cardiovascular activity will help, and for a temporary fix try drinking ginger tea with cayenne pepper, or other hot soups and beverages. Also, much of your heat escapes through your head, so try wearing a beanie. As far as if it's a problem - I've had cold hands and feet my whole life, and I'm still okay -- although I always apologize before holding/shaking someone's hand! |

i dont konw how this happens but i had a friend last year in the summer when we r wearing shirts and sweating he was wearing a huge coat and when we asked him y he said he has a sickness idk wat it is calleed.and he gets cold for some reason.may be u got the same sickness as him. |
