I've had great luck with floride rinses like ACT and Crest toothpastes with floride

brush your teeth after meals and before and after going to bed. Floss and use Flouride mouth washes before and after going to bed. toothpastes are all the same. Also consider electronic toothbrushes such as Sonic care

Crest toothpaste with floride is what I've been using and I've never had a cavity in my life. Also floss daily. Easy floss is ok to use.

I found a good web site that gives you info on all your questions:
www.gaba.com (then click teeth & care). You'll find out about nutritional aspects of fighting cavities etc. Also, GABA is a dental specialist that has developed Elmex toothpaste that I think is the best one fighting cavities.

Oral B Pro electric toothbrush, and Toms of Maine tooth paste (any flavor, but I prefer the paste to the gel). Of course, combine this with daily flossing (2x is VERY good), and twice-yearly check ups. I've not had a cavity in 10 years!!

All the above answers are good, but watching your diet is the most important thing if you really want to stop having cavities. Keep sugar to a bare minimum. The best thing a parent can do for their young child is teach them to like fruit as snacks and leave the candy and cookies alone. Don't even have junk food in the house.

Remember to you fluoride once a day, brush teeth 3 times a day and floss atleast once a day. Also check your toothbrush it may be worn. You should change your toothbrush every month and maybe you could try an electric toothbrush.

I prefer Colgate Total. Don't like Crest because they still use animal testing. Toothbrush doesn't matter as long as the bristles are soft and the head fits in the tight areas of your mouth.
Don't forget to floss every day, before bed, as this will help prevent cavities forming on the sides of your teeth.

First of all, the best answers come from your dentist or hygienist. But since your residing to yahoo for answers, then these answers are the next best thing. Brush your teeth the right way, meaning all 3 surfaces. When you get to the inner surface then brush it at a 45 degree angle. To get more information on how to brush your teeth, refer to your dentist/hygenist. Brushing should be done no less than two times a day. That does not mean all you have to do is brush your teeth two times a day; brush it after every meal. Also very important is flossing, which should be done on a daily basis. Keep on top of all these things and your good to go. I mean you can only fight cavities for so long.
