No. You should not chew gum with braces. It will make the brackets loose and you don't want that to happen. You can survive 2 years without chewing gum. |

I also got braces and my dentist just forbid me to bite hard fruits like guava... chewing a gum is not a problem as long as you dont try blowing it... just chew it using you molar but not with your front teeth |

Not really (yes & no), it will get stuck in your braces. Get used to being bubblegum-less. If you do decide to, you will have to go in a mirror and take the little stuck pieces of gum out; I wanted a gum badly so I decided to have it, and that's what happened to me. Then brushing your teeth will clear all of it out....But it won't necessarily "destroy" your braces. |

Yes. It doesn't make any difference. Bubble gum or sugar free. I wouldn't advise doing it if you have to wear those rubber bands connecting your top teeth to your bottem teeth. I never had to have those, but my friends did and they didn't chew gum with them in. |

Never had braces but would imagine gum would stick to them.
You could always try it and decide for yourself. |

If you do not want problems, do not do it. The more mistakes you make the more damage you do and the longer you will have braces.
My daughter did everything right and they took about 2 years.
My son did nothing right and they took 6 years. |
