Anyone had 4 wisdom teeth pulled at once?
my dentist wants to pull all 4 at the same time while me being asleep... and alot of people are telling me not to have all 4 done at once...im so tired of them b.c they are messing with my tmj and shifting my teeth in my mouth and im getting invisaline once wisdoms are removed...Im just worried of side effects once they are pulled can you help with just filling me in on what they do or anything in this subject?...thanks...
Look...i'm 14...I did it!!!
It was no big deal at all. They put you to sleep (not painful at all) and they take them out. You will be sore the first day...and you can't eat some stuff, and you take some medicine...but, really, what's the worst? You are swollen for a day, and that's it.
ADVICE: DO NOT get them out individually. If you get one out, and that bothers you...just think...you have to go through that 3 more times. Just get it over with. It's no big deal at all.

do them all at once! You won't want to go through the process again plus my dentist said it is the bottoms that cause the pain, not so much the tops so just get it all over with it really isn't too bad!

I had all 4 pulled at once. I don't think that there would be any advantage to getting them pulled in pairs.
You will need to take care that they do not get dried out (not sure the medical term) and watch what you eat the first few days.
Side effects, other than worrying about possible infection until they heal, I cannot think of one problem I had.

I did. Not that big of a deal.
Your out they pull them and you don't even notice.
My gums bled for several days and and you have to keep cotton in them. Also it does swell in the beginning and it hurts a little bit but otherwise you'll be good.
Oh I do remember getting mild headaches hear and there but I'm really glad I got it done. They were really bothering me and they were impacting my other teeth.
Hope that helps you out.

I had FIVE wisdom teeth removed at once, why put your self through pain twice, get it done and over with

yeah it's not bad. those people don't know anything its' your oral surgeon/dentist who decides whats best for you. yes your teeth may shift, mine did a bit and my brother's shifted a lot his teeth were straight then he got wisdom teeth then it was out then it went straight again. it depends but its not bad.

I had a total of 5 wisdom teeth. One was impacted. I had them all pulled at once for two reasons. I did not want to go through that pain more than once. The second reason is I would have been out of pocket more money. So I just got it all done at one time. They did put me to sleep. I did not experience much pain except for when I did a lot of talking. I stay on top of the Advil, which is probably why I did not swell. He did prescribe me lortab, but I only took them when I was in serious pain which was hardly ever. Did not like the why lortab made me feel. I alternated between the heating pad and ice pack. Just follow the doctor's orders to the "T" and everything should be fine.

Yeah I did. They didn't put me to sleep though. If your roots are straight no problem. They will come right out. If they are crooked then there might be more pain involve. Get it over with.

i had a fifth wisdom tooth coming in and had all 5 pulled at once, it's better just to get them all done at the same time

my husband and my cousin both had their wisdom teeth all pulled at once. both of them said that if they had them done in pairs they would have been very hesitant to go in for the second pair. getting it over with is better than prolonging the pain. that way, once it's done, it's done. and after a day or so, the pain subsided tremendously for my husband and he was fine. they put him under for the procedure and gave him pain medicine for home, and he was great. a little loopy at first, but fine afterward.

do it! anesthesia is no fun thing... plus it'll be cheaper for you. i was lucky and only had three... and had them all removed at once. even though i had complications, having them all done at the same time was the best scenario. i also have tmj... and it was best to just get it over with. they had to pry my mouth open to get in there far enough... yes it hurt- but i much rather would have only done it that one time and let it heal than to have it done 3 separate times. good luck!
