p.s. I was born by a c-section if that could help it?
no your safe just dont kiss her on the lips wear her underwear or clothes even jeans or shirts or bras because you dont no which part of her body she has it on. and buy some Lysol disinfectent so after she uses the washroom you can spray it on the toilet seet because it gets rid of bacteria always whipe off the toilet seat with napkin so you dont catch it

If you were born by a "c-section" more than likely the disease was not passed to you during birth. If your mom had it then and told the Dr, thats why you were born that way, to prevent transmission to you. Here is some info on herpes. Hope this helps!

Well maybe she gets cold sores on her lips, that is a form of herpes ya know. Anyway yes a parent can pass it on to a child during labor but you would of gotten it in your throat or something, not down there. And you would have known by now. It is now safe to take a deep breath and smile. You are still herpes free.

The spread of herpes to newborns is rare. Normally, if a woman has an active outbreak at the time of delivery, they will perform a C-Section. Doctors and the mother with herpes take precautions to protect the baby. I'm sure you are safe in that manner.
However, if her outbreak is located anywhere on her body that you might come into contact with, you are certainly vulnerable to contracting it. This is how young children wind up with cold sores. If you haven't gotten it up to this point, I'm guessing you are in a perfectly safe environment with nothing to worry about. It sounds like your Mom is taking care of herself in an educated manner and is protecting you from it at the same time.
Just stay as concerned and vigilant as you are right now. You may not have to worry about your Mom, but considering the stats (1 in 4 people in America have it), you'll be likely to meet someone with romantic possibilities in your future that has it. Stay safe!
Edit: I just want to add after reading a response above mine:
"You cannot transmit or catch the herpes virus through the air you breathe or from casual contact on toilet seats, chairs, and similar sorts of workplace or home contact. You can only catch herpes from skin-to-skin contact with an infected area. Herpes is not considered to be a virus that is easily caught like the common cold."

No, you're o.k. It can't be passed to you that way. Please don't worry...
