Is this a health problem?
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this is.
Occasionally, on my upper left chest, i get a severe 5 second pain as if somethings compressing everything inside. I usually either take a very deep breath in or repeatably punch my chest to make this go away.
Can anyone tell me what's wrong or what this may be?
Extra Details: When i take a deep breath to make this go away, it feels like somethings pops inside my chest, and it really hurts for a second or two.
to rule out unstable angina you need a cardiology consultation(irrespective of your age)

It depends on your age, and your medical history. If you are younger than 30 it is unlikely to be of any serious nature, like heart disease. But if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, if heart disease runs in the family and you are older than 30, you need to seek medical care.
