What I loathe about movies like "The Bucket List" is that is makes people FEEL that they understand what it's like to face a life-threatening illness.
"OH, I GET IT, you make lists of FUN things you want to do before you die !"
Alas, as another incredibly wise poster here once said, mostly what you wish, is that you won't die alone, and in extreme pain, and that you won't be incontinent from every orifice in your body ... you know, THOSE kinds of fun things.
Go play outside now.

Thats a bad question here. Most of the regulars are up tight about this kind of question. I dont mind it though. Yes, its true you dont truelly understand what a cancer patient feels until you are the one going through it. However, never talking about the reality of death is what makes it so much harder to face.
And in the end, is this any different than the list of things to do before 40 or 50 or in your entire lifetime? The essays you write in high school of what you want to do over the next ten years? So you named it the bucket list, is it any different? really?
But, we all deal with being negative and bitter... I am going through a fairly bitter time myself right now. Ive just never been afraid of death. I am terrified of what it will feel like, but I am not afraid of death itself. The one certain thing of life is death. And would anyone really want to live forever?
Me personally, and this is in no particular order:
-Go to the beach. I have only been once, and I loved the sea shells. I want to take pictures of the sunrise on the ocean.
-Fly. I have never flown in a plane either. I am completly terrified of it, but I want to, with a window seat. Although, I will probably be puking the whole time =>
-Finish my degree
-Spend as much time as I can with my family

My Bucket list would be
- to laugh until I cry
- to go on vacation with my daughter alone
- to be at peace with myself
- to go sky dyving
- to go on an African safari

Hmm lets see.....float down the nile... jump out of a plane(with a parachute)...Get stuck in the belly of a whale...ride through the jungle on the back of a 4oo pound, red-butted gorrila, and....go to church.
