I don't know about the pill taking but have an underactive thyroid I started gaining weight easy. I started drinking Metamucil 3 times a day and a high fiber diet. Also eat smaller portions of food and cut out any junk food. It worked for me, I have lost 15lbs. Go online and check out which foods are high in fiber. Good luck :) |

Don't take pills. Do cardio to burn off some fat (More than 30 min.) and lift weights to gain muscle, which increases your metabolism. Also, eat less. That's it. These pills are basically bullcrap. They pump you full of crap that you don't really need, and you can end up with some really bad side-effects, like vision problems, bone problems, mental problems, and sometimes even infertility. Just work out and you'll be fine,. |

Loosing weight gaining muscle are diametrically opposed. To build muscle mass, one has to increase their protein intake and lift heavy weight to make the muscle grow. Loosing body fat is the opposite, decreased caloric intake and increased aerobic or fat burning exercise.
At your age the most sensible thing to do is eat a high protein WELL BALANCED diet, and mix your exercise routine to include weights and aerobics.
AVOID pills, they are usually snake oil (useless)

how about a trainer?
protein shakes help but they're pricy! $30ish for 12 or 15 cans i got.

You can't really take a pill to gain muscle.
Truthfully NONE of those pills are safe for someone your age to use and even for someone who is older they aren't safe.
The best way to gain muscle is protein/carbs and less reps when lifting.
If you wants to lose weight, exercise, lots and lots of cardio. Stay away from carbohydrates! Drink water, cut out sugar and salt!
Why do you need to lose weight at 12 anyways? You aren't even done growing yet! |

You should just work out. That is the healthy way to loose weight. Pills are not healthy for a 12 year old. Just work out. If you are not really active just do the easy stuff. Walking, Jogging. Or even get into a sport! I play soccer, and its really fun and competitive. You can get into any sport!Just workout and you will defintley loose weight!

you're still young. it's probably still baby fat. i was a heavier kid at that age but as i started to get older i joined track and soccer and well even before that, i had been losing weight. so just excercise and don't let yourself believe you need diet pills at this age |

You don't need pills. Stop drinking soda (or switch to the "Zero" varieties they taste better anyway), stop eating candy, cut down the junk food. Ask your parents to buy you wheat bread, wheat pasta, and brown rice. Wheat bagels if you eat bagels. Snack on fruits and veg when you're hungry.
Exercise on your own (jogging 30-60 minutes daily is a good start) or join a sport at school. Swim as much as you can this summer - and I mean really swim not just screw around in the pool with a beach ball. You'll get the results you want. |

Honestly weight loss pills are not that effective, dont believe everything you read or see. They are always recomended to be taken with proper diet and exercise. They arent healthy for you in any way. I would recomend cutting back calories to 1500 a day eating lots of fruits and veggies and exercising. Also a very healthy substitute to a diet pill is drinking green tea, but dont ad any sugar! You can add low fat or fat free milk if you'd like. Green tea is healthy for you and it speeds up your metabolism. But you really dont want to take diet pills they are no good for you |

none. those things are bull. eat healthy and exercise, your only 12, you should be playing and havening fun. not caring about how much you weight. if it was really a problem your doctor would of said something about it. and &^%@#&!# you dont even know how to spell weight. your way to young to worry about looking like a riped 30 year old. that would be so creepy. plus since your growing mussels wont mean anything yet. and plus if your really so into being all muscle... then okay, how woul;d you like to stop eatting candy, no more junk food, no more fast food, no more pop. only sport all the time. no sitting around, go to the gym. how fun does that sound? thats no life for a 12 year old. wait till your older. you'll actually get mussels when your older. right now its pointless. |
