start drinking plenty of water, and you'll a couple of pounds quick that way. "the more you drink, the less you retain" just don't overdue it. try and cut out fats, sodiums, and sugar as much as you can as well. and of course exercise. and don't eat a few hours before you go to sleep. but looking at your picture, you look good* as you are now |

Becoming a vegetarian is a good start kiddo...but you must follow up with basic exercises...like running or walking. Good luck! |

Slow and steady. Eat less and move more. This is the only way to lose weight and keep it off. Gimmics don't work. Learn how to eat healthier (fruits, veggies, lean meats or beans for protein). Move your body and exercise for 60 minutes each day of the week.
Drink more water. Stay away from too much candy, cakes & snack foods, sugar filled drinks (cokes & juice). If you need a snack, eat something healthy like yogurt, fruit, or a handful of nuts. |

Bulimia, anorexia and amphetamines.
Though, I don't recommend any of them.
Just try to exercise and eat the right foods, though that's cliche. |

diet and exercise. If you are a veggie, the diet is pretty much solved. Just work out. Lift small amounts of weight, and do cardio about an hour every day. You will see results. |

I'm 5'5 and 130 lbs and I think I look pretty chubby and have been trying to lose weight
I'm starting to think there is no other way other than excercising to death and eating very little, all of which is healthy stuff. |

Eat 5-6 smaller meals a day rather than a 2 or 3 large ones. Doing this helps regulate your metabolism and make it run more efficiently, therefore burning more calories.
Just use common sense. Eat what you want, keeping moderation in mind. As far as exercise goes, you don't need to spend an hour at the gym every day - just try to incorporate more activity into your daily life, such as spending more time on foot. The key with keeping weight off is making lifestyle changes that you can stick with instead of 'going on a diet'. Otherwise, your weight will just yo-yo and that won't help you in the long run.
Also, watch your calorie consumption but don't cut it dramatically, as this is counterproductive to weight loss. |

I know it's not easy to lose weight but, working out and exercising is the best way. Just eat well and healthy. You could try eating fruits and veggies for a week, or just taking a walk would help. |

Exercise
Diet
Weight Control
First, don't stop exercising: It provides numerous health benefit beyond weight control. As for food, try following your appetite. If you're like most people, your brain will automatically regulate your calorie intake--and thus your weight--by controlling your hunger. However, that self-regulating system doesn't work for everyone, due to differences in metabolism and heredity. If you continue to lose weight, you should see a doctor. If you start gaining weight, you may have to cut back on fat and calories or try to burn more calories by exercising longer or harder. And good luck. |

Veggie is not a weight loss solution - it's a lifestyle choice. Cut out processed carbs and refined sugars and keep a consistent schedule of cardio.
And don't try to do it quickly - it backfires. |

Reduce your caloric intake,
Drink lots of water,
Exercise,
And do not eat for 1 hour before bed
That is the basics to get more specific you need to make sure that the calories you do intake are nutritious and space your meals out so you eat several smaller meals and do not skip breakfast. |

walking makes you lose inches like crazy. also you need lean protein in order to keep muscle, so be careful on the veggie thing. if you just watch portion size, you'll be able to eat anything you want--healthy stuff anyway. (stay away from chips, since, no one can eat just one!) but a small dessert every once in a while won't hurt your efforts.
also wondering, is that a recent pic of you? i'm trying to figure out where you need to lose weight! you look amazing! |

everyone is looking for an easy way out but you have to exercise and eat right. being vegetarian isn't going to automatically make you skinny. |

My health teacher's doctor said it was the very best way to lose weight by drinking two glasses of water before every meal. It boosts your metabolism and fills you up so you don't eat as much. :) |

Cut out all fatty foods - eg - crisps, burgers, cakes....
and replace them with healthy filling foods - pasta, vegatables, fruit
also do lots of excersize - when you go out - use the staris in stead of the lift
and do some energetic dancing - eg girls aloud
and do 10,000 steps a day
keep it up and you will loose the weight... |

Not that you said you think this - but being vegetarian will NOT help you lose weight, in fact you may see a gain. I saw a weight gain when I became vegetarian because I was eating a lot more carbohydrates (daily rice or spagetti).
Eat the brown pastas and rices. Also make sure you eat only WHOLE-GRAIN breads...wheat bread is generally not whole-grain. Don't let the advertising fool you.
Try to eat high-protien meals. This will fill you up and keep you satisfied. You can get the protien from beans, but for some reason, the imitation meats that have a LOT of protien in them seem to fill me up better.
Count your calories. |

Yes, diet and exercise. Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables. Drink more water. For exercise, combine a lot of cardio with anerobic weight training or yoga. Get moving and re-vamp your eating habits. Good luck! |

Hey CNN covered this and did a good job! You can read the link below, but I also advise that you contact your doctor, let him or her know you want to go on a healthy diet and that you've become vegetarian (you may need some B supplements as certain B's can only be found in meat products) and ask what he or she advises. |
