What happens if your knee is painful one second and feels fine another?
My knee starting hurting when I was about in 6th or 7th grade know i am a freshman in high school when i went to the doctor last they took X-Rays & nothing showed up. My knee hurt badly an hour or two ago but now it feels fine. I am going to the doctor today. I want to know what you guys think. Thanks

This is because of some nerve problem. If you could massage daily with some oil it will improve. Olive oil is better and give heat by hot water.

you might try and ask for a CT scan or something to check your knee ligaments.. ligaments do not show up on xrays, you see. did you injure your knee? if you did, then it might be a remnant of that. what is your position when it is hurting? if you are standing, if might be your weight bearing ligaments. if not, it might be those that are holding your knee joint together. but ask your doctor again, i might be wrong..

I always answer people' knee questions on here as I just had my 13th surgery so I am a seasoned knee injury veteran. And I will tell you what I tell everyone else. See an orthopedic (bone and joint) doctor. He/she will discuss your symptoms with you and take xrays and an mri scan. The xrays will probably show nothing, but the mri will give you your answers. The knee is a very complicated joint with 4 main ligaments and tons of cartilage including the meniscus. People on yahoo answers will give you their best guess and say "I had the same thing!" but you will never know without getting images of your knee taken. I am very knowledgeable on the subject, but I wouldn't begin to tell you what is going on without looking at images of your knee. My best guess is maybe some loose cartilage in there somewhere that catches once in awhile causing pain. So please, see a doctor and get it checked out....the earlier the better....you do not want to be like me and have 13 surgeries and huge scars...trust me. Good luck to you.
