I hurt my leg 6 months ago and and it still hurts. There's a GAP in my leg where muscle used to be.?
I give up. I tried everything. I went to a doctor and she told me to take 4 asprins a day for a week...nothing. I then went to physical therapy...nothing. But then I started walking on my own about 4 miles a day. I can now walk without pain. But when I stand or sit there's a shooting pain up my leg that slowly goes away when I walk it out. Stretching does nothing. That's how I hurt my leg. What's worse is there's a gap in my leg, where the muscle hurts. Does anyone know how I can get the muscle back here and stop my leg from hurting? Please someone help, I've been looking for answers for 6 months. Additional Details that's the problem...my parents think I'm lying and won't take me to a doctor again..I need a good excercise that builds up muscle in your thigh
I definitely think that you need to show your parents the difference between your legs so that they're aware that you're not lying. If they still don't believe you, ask a friend or their parent to take you to the doctor.
DO NOT return to the doctor that told you to take the asprin. You need more than just one consultation, even if that means visiting eight different doctors until you find the right one. If you have an inkling as to what the problem is, do some research and find a specialist in that field.
Good Luck!

Hi there. I am sorry to read about how much discomfort you are in. I have a simple easy technique to share with you that should dramatically, if not completely, eliminate the pain you are in. However, this would not be an ongoing sollution just a natural equivalent to pain killer. I will share that with you shortly.
The first thing I would suggest is see another doctor - or specialist - for long term healing. The situation you have described sounds like it needs more then just pain killers! The doctor you mentioned is not helping you with the suggestion of just pain killers. It's so disappointing that that's all they could say too help you.
Now for the technique that should help you with the pain (but is not a substitute for healing).
This is dramatically effective. I have used it with many people with a wide range of problems with miraculous results. Please try it - you will be amazed.
First go somewhere private and allow some time (between 5 and 10 minutes should be plenty).
To begin ask yourself this question: if 10 was the most pain and 0 was no pain how much pain do I feel right now? (remember your answer so you can test your success at the end)
Then, speaking out loud, describe in detail what happened to your leg, when it started to hurt, who you have seen to help you, everything you have tried to fix it, how you feel about it still hurting, and on and on until you have said everything you can think of about it. Then put your attention on the area specifically and describe, in as much detail as you can, the physical sensations you experience there. Avoid using the words 'it hurts' and find descriptive alternatives such as "it is tight here, it's hot, it feels inflamed' and so on until you are completely done.
Now intend that there is a circle of white light in front of you. Now intend that every single word you just said about your condition is in the space out in front of you - you do not have to remember the details just intend that the words are there. Now intend that every single word is collected in a great fine mesh net and throw the net and its contents inside the circle.
Now put the palms of your hands over the area that hurts (as much as you can reach). Put your awareness into this part of your body beneath your hands and ask: if this energy were a colour what colour would it be? (just be aware of the first thought that comes to mind and move on). If it were a shape what shape would it be? If it could hold water how much water could it hold? Then take a deep breath, put your hands by your side, and notice what you notice. Ask yourself to test your results: if 10 was the most pain and 0 was no pain how much pain do I feel right now? It should be much lower if not gone. The full effects can take a few minutes. If you wish continue with this process another time or more until you feel complete.
It works with almost all cases pretty much 100% of the time.
Good luck. I hope this helps.
I don't know where you live and whether you have access to this service but I would highly recommend a Network Chiropractor. They assist you to heal in a profoundly effective, gentle way. You can research this method online to see if it suits you.
Hope you feel better soon.

you probably tore you muscle really bad sorry but idk what to say about that....do the like add thing where you put more info. and say what part of your leg it is if its you calf then what you need to do in stand straight and and go to tippy toes back to the ground and then do it again(you said your leg hurts when you stand so probably your only gonna be able to do a couple and go to a gym and use the machines they have specially made for leg muscle growth enless you have one at home
just sk8 dont hate
you need to see a diff doctor and get a mri so they can see whats going on with your leg and fix it

You need to see an orthopedic surgeon or a doctor who specializes in sports medicine ... muscles should not hurt for that long, and they shouldn't just "vanish" and leave gaps.
It sounds like you ripped it off the attachment where the muscle meets the bone. It's fixable but the longer you wait the harder it is to fix.
Show your parents that your legs don't match - show them the gap or dent - and remind them that before the accident, they did match.
If they refuse to take you to a doctor ... call Child Protective services if you have to.

Sounds like you need to see another Dr.. Years ago I was bucked (on a Horse) and landed on the saddle horn. It left a huge imprint on my leg but it has filled in some. That was from tearing muscle. Just stretching doesn't seem like it should cause permanent damage. I wish you the best of luck.
