Persistant cough???
about 2 weeks ago i came down with a bad cold..congestion, soar throat, cough, chills, fever, headache...whole nine yards. after about i week i was feeling better..took some cold and sinus meds. but its been over two weeks and i still have a pretty productive cough and soar throat from the coughing im guessing usually worse at night and in the morning.
i was wondering how much longer before this cough goes away..i feel like its lasting too long. any ideasss?
I had this same thing back in October. It ended up being bronchitis and honestly lasted a good 6 wks. If you haven't been to a doc yet I would highly reccomend it. I will tell you though that the best thing for me to take was a cough syrup called Delsym it was amazing.........esp at bedtime !!!! It runs about 11.99 for a bottle and worth every penny.

Anna!!!
My mom had something like that. It will probably be about a week or two more before the cough goes away.

Drink a lot of water. Also, you MIGHT have made a "habit" out of coughing. what i mean is, seeing that you had that cough for 2 weeks now, you're probably used to coughing, so now you just cough involuntarily because that's what you've been doing for the past 14 days...So basically, it'll go away if you just like make yourself NOT cough. i.e., DONT COUGH UNLESS YOU REALLLLY HAVE TO. Drink orange juice and water!!!

You could have pneumonia. Go see a doc.
