am taking an antibiotic called ciprofloxacin.is it ok if i drink beer tonight?
am taking this medicine every morning around 7am,and want to drink beer tonight around 7pm
Go ahead have some Buds. But do not trouble taking cipro. Throw it in the trash, as the result will be the same anyhow: you will lose all curative effect from the antibiotic.

I would ask the Beer Doctor's advice: http://www.united-nations-of-beer.com/beer-and-your-health.html

Basically this article says: Ciprofloxacin treatment decreased the ethanol elimination rate by 9.4%, with a concomitant decrease in intestinal aerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria, faecal ADH activity, and acetaldehyde.
It is never wise to drink alcohol when on antibiotics. In this particular antibiotic it doesn't let the ethanol leave your body, thus making you feel overly intoxicated. Not a good idea.
I placed the web site at the bottom. Please read.
Good luck!

Cipro is usually taken twice a day at twelve-hour intervals. If you take your 7 PM dose and then start drinking, you'll lose almost all the antibiotic quality of the medicine.
What's the hurry? You'll only take the prescription for a few days and then you can enjoy a beer without worry.
