I just found out that my 28 year old daughter has cervical cancer?
It's just started and it's slow growing..but she has to go to a specialist to have the cells burned away. Then hopefully with check ups often she'll be ok..has anyone gone through this before? Theres not really much that you can do right now but pray for her and stay by her side, and im sure that will be enough for her to have her mom there and just tell her how much you care for her because if you dont find the time it could run out. im very sorry for all of ur family and friends and of corse ur daughter.. <33333

I have not been threw this but my best friend was diagnosed at the age of 19, while she was pregnant. Everyone was quite worried as I assume you are right now. My friend had hers cells burned away 3 years ago. Never had to go threw kemo or anything she does have to get a check up 2 a year instead of once a year to make sure it is not coming back. but so far she has not had another problem with it. Everything will be OK. God bless you & your daughter.

My sister had some pre cancer cells burned away some time ago, so I can understand your concern...Just hearing the word cancer can be very scary. While she said the procedure was uncomfortable, she's not had any more problems.Caught early, this can be treated effectively. Make sure your daughter follows up regularly, and know you are not alone...I'll keep you in my thoughts. Good luck!

There is a lot they are doing with cancer these days; especially when they catch it in the early stages. Just be sure to do everything the doctors say to keep it in check.

the procedure to burn off the cells is called a LEEP procedure. I had cervical cancer 4 years ago, had a leep and have been cancer free ever since.
