Anyone who is exposed to too much sun increases their chance of developing skin cancer.

The sun is only one type of risk . . it is not the only reason someone might develop skin cancer, so tanning and the sun are only a part of the reason for the disease. You can still get skin cancer on parts of the body that are not normally exposed to sun or tanning, such as the bottoms of the feet or in the arm pit. So, the answer is that no one knows who will develop skin cancer and who will not . . the sun and tanning is only one risk you take and avoiding them may cut the risk but you are never entirely safe. You can still get skin cancer no matter what steps you take to cut risk.

hey! Yeah sure, the doc told me if you have more than 100 moles you are prone to getting skin cancer, and of course if it runs in your family! I tan easily and i get a check up once every year to be sure! the moles that are flat are the ones to see if they change colour or shape, apprently the moles that are raised you don't need to worry much about,,,, unless of course they change, and to watch out for new ones!

And unless you are from somewhere like Sudan and have very dark skin compilation. You need to be very careful with not having to much sun and been burnt.
So the fair your skin is the more careful you have to be in the sun.

Tanning is a measure of skin damage.
The more you tan, the more damage you are causing.
Damage leads to skin cancer.
