Help i have bad breath?
I have really bad breath and I've tried everything to get rid if it.

I brush my teeth up to 4 times a day, I floss twice and I use mouthwash as often as I can through out the day. I've been to the dentist for a check up but I was too embarrassed to say anything. She said my teeth and mouth are fine and healthy.

The bad taste seems to be coming up from my throat or near the tonsil area and my husband says the smell is really bad. I don't smoke or drink and I always avoid strong foods.

I've started avoiding talking to people face to face because I'm so conscious of it and I try to avoid going out. I always have mints when I do have to talk to people but sometimes it still smells over the mints.

I've got white stuff on my tounge which I clean off with a tounge scrapper and although the white stuff really smells bad it doesn't seem to stop my breath from smelling.

I've tried everything but nothing seems to stop it.

Hello...Given your description of the issue your dealing with it seems all but certain we can narrow the problem down to one or possibly both of two things..(1) You have a sinus drainage issue or (2) you have a digestive problem...The reality is that it could actually be some of each...However, your first approach should be is to see an ENT doctor (Ear, Nose & Throat) specialist...I suspect that is where your problem is coming from...If that doesn't prove out, you need to an Internists MD....Good luck and I wish you well.

Check your diet. do u eat veggies often like onions or eat out a lot? drinking lots of water and not eating those harsh acidic foods as often should help a bit, otherwise talk to your doctor about your chronic halitosis

Go and see your doctor, i watched a programme the other night and there was someone with a similar problem...something to do with bacteria in your mouth, think they prescribed her antibiotics and the problem cleared up fine.
Good luck!

Usually bad breath comes from your stomach than mouth. Only eating habits will reduce the smell. As you said you already taking care of mouth then only reason could be from your stomach. You can try
These at least for two weeks
1. Eat pure vegetarian food.
2. Avoid spices in the food.
3. Eat plenty of green salads and fruits.
4. Drink plenty of water and juices.
5. Avoid cool drinks.

If it doesn't go means you have some infection in the mouth or in the stomach consult a good doctor.

Gargle a cup of lukewarm water mixed with salt or half a lemon juice. This is best done before going to bed. Chew parsley leaves, which are sure to keep your breath fresh. Put a few drops of tea tree oil on your toothbrush top it with toothpaste, and then brush your teeth. More useful remedies at http://useinfo5.blogspot.com/

You probaby have carbonised bacteria build up behind the gums. Normal brushing or mouthwash won't fix your problem. Go and get a profressional clean at your dentist and I guarentee you it will clear up. It hurts a little, but will improve your breath... so it will be worth it.

cost: $300.00 for two session is a rough estimate/

maybe you should stop trying everything, because many things can affect to your "flora" and you won't know what is the cause of your bad breath. you can ask a doctor, a stomatologist, this could be a sign of ulcer or infection. a natural remedy is to eat yougurt. and then chewing gum

i suggest you stop worrying, i know people who have this, it is more common than you think...

I can understand why you would be embarrassed, but your dentist is the only one that can determine why you have this problem. You've got to get the guts to ask the dentist. I'm sure they deal with all kinds of problems and this is just another problem to them. Try not to be embarrassed, and ask them for some help. There's got to be a reason for it, and they can get to that reason. Good luck.

SHOCK
Could be some kind of a throat infection maybe? I would suggest going to your doctor instead of your dentist, since it seems as though the smell is coming from your throat as opposed to your mouth. This isn't anything at all to be embarrassed about, it's a serious problem for you since it's affecting your life.

bad breath can cause social isolation, and depression. to know how to get rid of it is to be able to know first the cause of it. after determining the cause of your bad breath, you can seek appropriate treatments for your bad breath. know that bad breath is caused by so many factors like like lack of oral hygiene, dirty mouth, eating a garlicky meal, dry mouth, medications, smoking, gum disease and stomach related problems.

proper oral hygiene can best eliminate bad breath, as well as keeping the mouth hydrated by drinking lots of water to be able to keep bad bacteria at bay. keep saliva going for it is the best defense that you can build against bad bacteria in the mouth.

if all commonsense measures did not work to stop bad breath, it is best that you talk to you dentist. bad breath does not only limit its cause in the mouth like gum disease or the lack of poor oral care. sometimes it can be caused by stomach related problems. better ask the help of a dental expert to determine the underlying cause of bad breath and get some recommended treatments. visit http://www.oramd.com for more bad breath eliminating tips.

Do you eat carbs? If not, maybe you have a case of Atkin's breath. I've seen an infomercial back in the day that had mints which didn't just make the mouth smell better, but the gastronomic system as well. I can't remember the name, but there is something out there. Better to ask someone in a Pharmacy...maybe not the one you regularly go to if you are embarrassed.
