OLD SCHOOL REMEDY IS PEROXIDE AND BAKING SODA MIX TOGETHER LIKE TOOTHPASTE AND BRUSH. ONE THING WITH THE PEROXIDE IS THAT SOMETIMES IT CAN LEAVE WHITE SPOTS ON YOUR GUMS. ALSO TRY USING MOUTHWASH AFTER THAT. |

Peroxide used to be used for mouthwash and alcohol for antiseptic. Now it seems to be the other way around.
I, personally, have used 3% peroxide, mixed with a little water, to gargle with for years. No harmful experiences were ever experienced. One does not swallow the stuff, but spit it out and rinse your mouth out with water.
Bleaching teeth can lead to breakdown of the tooth's enamel over time. This is a fact. Peroxide is a bleaching agent. Peroxide, used judiciously will do no harm. It also helps to mitigate some gum diseases.
These are some sites that may help you make your own decision. I recommend snopes.com to answer many questions about emails or other information and urban legends.

(1) Pour peroxide on toothbrush;
(2) Place toothbrush in mouth;
(3) Brush teeth;
PLEASE NOTE: The use of baking soda intensifies the whitening effect. |

Crest Whitestrips are great!! They really do live up to their claims. It is a different kind of peroxide than hydrogen. |

1.swish the peroxide in your mouth follow behind witha peroxide action toothpaste like: colgate, crest, pepsodent .
2.then use a crest or oralB spinbrush and it will keep your teeth white on a regular basis .
3.These toothbrushes spin and get your teeth much more cleaner than a manual toothbrush.
4. You can purchase this toothbrush @ Wal*mart , Walgreens, and CVS pharmacy |

I use it all the time and my teeth are very white. Your gums may get a little sore when you first start using it, but that will only go to show you how much you really should be flossing. |

Dilute it with a little water, don't use it straight. Rinse for about a minute morning and night. I do this all the time, just don't swallow... |

You can whiten your teeth with peroxide by gurgling with it, but that tastes weird! You should buy some Crest Whitening Strips and after 7 days, you'll see results. They're the best! |

Using Hydrogen Peroxide is a very old healing whitening remedy.
My Dentist started me on it to heal my gums 40 YEARS
ago.
It heals cold sores, tenderness after flossing, helps heal after having a tooth pulled, heals gingivitis, even strep.
It is inexpensive $1.00 per quart. And works. I have used it nearly every day for the past forty years and have super healthy gums. Even though I inherited mediocre teeth. I take a swig and brush my teeth with it. Then brush with toothpaste (I like the taste)
Do not swallow it will give you a stomach ache. |

I worked for a dentist for 15 years....peroxide does work, tastes yucky and will burn your gums if you brush too hard. It's best if you dip it w/a little toothpaste to help flavor and strength. If you have an older "resin" filling in a front tooth, it won't really help. Brush the front teeth up and down motion ... not straight acroos the gumline You will notice some white spots on your gums and back of your throat, just rinse well with lukewarm water and don't swallow! You should not use this method every day though....two or three times a week is plenty. |

Easy, just buy a bottle of peroxide! You swish it around your mouth, like regular mouth wash, and then spit it out. Make sure to have flouride tooth paste, because the peroxide can eat the enamel in your teeth, if you dont protect them. Make sure to read the bottle instructions, and you will know how much to use! |

I grew up with the stuff. Get a small cup of baking soda and dig your toothbrush into it.. then when it's stuffed, dip it into another small cup of peroxide and immediately start brushing your teeth.
Your tongue with take some time to get use to it, but your mouth and gums will love it enough though it feels strange at first. Now I only use arm and hammer baking soda and peroxide toothpaste. |

There are several products on the market that has peroxide as an ingrediant for whitening teeth. You can also use 1 part peroxide and 2 parts water. Just swish it around in your mouth for about 10 seconds then spit it out |

If you coose to use regular hydrogen peroxide BE AWARE that it WILL cause tooth sensitivity!!!!!! I think your best bet would be Crest Premium white strips or your dentist..... |

Use it as a rinse. For a little more whitening you can mix it with some baking soda and brush with it. Baking soda is in some toothpastes, it works as an abrasive to scrub the stains. |

I "swish" with it ever morning and every night and i get compliments on my teeth all the time (as funny as that sounds). it does bubble up quite a bit, so be sure you only use a little bit at first until you get used to it.
Also, I never dilute it, but I know some people do.
And one more thing, if you have sensitive teeth, this will make them more sensitive. I've never had real sensitive teeth, but after I started using peroxide, I've noticed them becoming more sensitive. Nothing too bad, and for me, the whiteness of my teeth is worth the slight discomfort to cold foods. |
