What can you do to rev up your metabolism that doesn’t kill you?
The only thing I know that revs up metabolism is smoking and I won't go back to that.

already great answers for this question, i just wanted to add this: Eat Breakfast! Breakfast is unbelievably crucial to getting your metabolism kick started everyday. Your body hasn't had any food for about 10 hours, give or take, and is slowing down it's metabolism to compensate for the lack of fuel(food) available to it. So, eat something!

Exercise, on a regular basis. I had been working out a lot and felt better and lost weight. Once summer hit, my schedule changed and I was unable to workout. Less energy and the weight is back.

Start your day with some source of protein for breakfast. eat either eggs or meat and low in carbs.Then drink plenty of water the rest of the day

Try a suplement like Hydroxycut or Release. It ups your metabolism by speeding up your heart rate so as long as you don't have a bum ticker you should be ok!

Exercise more often, and at different times. For example, if you don't exercies, try exercising an hour a day. If you exercise an hour in the evenings, try exercising another hour (or half hour) in the mornings as well. Hard at first, but once you get used to it, your energy levels increase, and you feel great.

Instead of drugs or coffee.......you can try to eat more apples in your diet.....it is a known fact, that apples rev up yur metablism just as effectively as coffee.....also, I use the Hydroxycut pills when needed.....and good eating. Good Luck, and be careful.

well exercise is really the best safe raising of the metabolism. All the chemicals that are in the air are bad enough for us. I would try to stay away from pills. They are bad for the heart. All of those pills do the same thing, they raise your heart rate. A pill induced faster heart rate can, in no way, be healthy. You can eat more vegetables too.

Apple Cider Vinegar will help boost your metabolism. Exercising after each meal will help boost it, as well. Eating a meal in the morning "wakes" your metabolism up, which naturally slows when you are inactive. The more active you are, the more it will naturall "rev up", so to speak.

Eat light meals, and try eating 6 small ones every day, instead of 3 regular meals. Walk or take a bike ride after each meal.
