Is it possible that some people just weren't made for contacts?
I had a followup exam with my eye doctor a week ago and he said that evrything looked fine.
However, I have tried two different types of soft contacts (a 2 week one and a 1 month one), and I start getting used to them up to a point.
Then progress stops, so that I can definitely feel a short lag time when I avert my gaze quickly, blink often, or focus my vision. During this period, I can physically feel the contact on my eyes and my vision is blurry. Furthermore, my eyes feel like they're constantly dry. I guess I could use the droplets that my eye doctor gave me, but I don't want to have to use these every hour or so that I'm wearing contacts...
These problems are relatively minor (no allergic reactions or anything like that), but they seem like adjustment problems that just won't go away. I talked to my friends, and they all say that they pretty much can't even tell that they have contacts on, except for the improved vision of course. Can I ever achieve this?
I could always feel my contacts no matter what brand, but the acuvue 2 were the most comfy. I agree with the person above that freshlook seem a bit bigger than the rest. As for the blur, I found that when I used the clear care brand of contact solution I had less blur than the express solutions. I'm going to get lasik soon because of the same problem. Good Luck to you!

You just need to find the right type. I tried daily disposables and couldn't take them for longer than 8 or so hours. My optician switched me to O2 Optix and now I'm fine for 12-14 hours. Get a high water content type.

Go for the best out there. If they don't work then there isn't much you can do. Acuve advanced is what I wear. They work pretty well. Try Acuve Oasis. They are supposed to be the moistest.
Maybe you have really dry eyes. Have you tried eyedrops? I use these contact drops "blink" for when my conacts get dry.

i am not made for color contacts only, no matter how i try them i cant, however i am able to where clear ones, but i would think so! but fresh look are really thick, and acuves are thinner and better!

yes, you need to find the right brand for you though
