I'm not too sure what 'cml' is exactly, but no, there is no cure for cancer. The effectiveness of the treatment depends on where it is and what stage it's at.

It is very dangerous, There is only one cure right now and that is a bone marrow transplant. take medication as doctor advise.

Hi, I also have cml i've had it for 19 months now. There is only one cure right now and that is a bone marrow transplant. I've been on gleevec for about18 months so far it seems to be the drug that will help people with cml to live fairly normal lifes. So i hope your friend can be put on this medication and have a good response. The first couple months were hard for me but I keep trying to do everthing i did before. By the way i'm 34 and i think being on the younger side of this he should do well. Most of the people with this are over 50. As my dr. said this is the good one because it give them time. We all hope that there is a cure very soon. I hope this helps a little good luck to your friend stay strong for him.
