Technically She is over weight, but not obese. Its hard to lose weight as a pre-teen, she needs to be around 110-125 for her height and age. |

Eat smaller portions. Drink lots of water. Eat vegtables and fruit. Exercise. And rare fast food or fatty foods.
Everyone carries weight differently.
some people at her weight are a size 9 and others are a size 18. |

Yea, a little.. but she's 13, she'll hit another growth spurt and grow into that weight. it's an awkward age because that happens to a lot of people. Just be her friend and if she's uncomfortable with it then maybe ask her if she wants to join a gym and take some fun fitness classes with you or something, and maybe try to eat at home more instead of picking up fast food or ordering pizza when you guys hang out :) Help her get into some healthier habits now and she'll carry them through her life! |

for her height she would be concidered obese
the weight levels go in this order;
-under weight
-notmal
-overweight

Luckily, since she is still young she can take steps now to be more healthy and to be at a better weight!
She seems like she is a little bit heavier than is best for her height, but with some healthy eating and more exercise she will be just fine. Encourage her to take steps to take care of her health if this is something that bothers her! |

You should suggest that she visit her doctor and ask the question. The "weight tables" are published for men and women based upon height but the doctor can advise further. |

i am 17...im 5'8 and i weigh 125. i do think she is overweight. she can loose this weight simply by cutting her meals in half...and cutting back on salty foods and sugary foods. im sure she is still beautiful but she also needs to be healthy. |

Yes, but I think she probably knows this already.
I do however think it's very unrealistic to expect her to get down to some ridiculous weight like 90lb-100lb and I do think those weights are only suitable for small framed females that age and height. If she is larger framed, she should get down to 110lb-130lb. But Ideally she should check with her doctor to be sure. |
