If you slouch then work on posture, stand up straight. IF you already stand up straight the best you can do is go out and by cute platform shoes. But I'm short too. It isn't that bad. |

How old are you? I ended up growing 3" after the age of 23! I was 5'2" on my driver's licence date and now I am 5'5". I have heard of others going through "growing spurts" in their twenties.
Other then that, like everyone is telling you... not much you can do besides wear heals, improve posture techniques and exercises and try to keep your weight in check. Slimmer height-challenged people always look taller then if their "width" catches up to them!! And embrace your height! Look how many beautiful celebrities are under 5'4" Salma Hayek, Jessica Simpson, Eva Longoria..... learn how to dress and carry yourself to look taller and LOVE IT!!! |

You can increase your height by doing an easy yoga stretching exercise every day.
1. Stand straight, arms at sides, feet almost together. Take a deep breath and raise arms high as possible. Raise your rib cage.
2. Slowly letting out breath, bend forward a little at time, letting spine and back muscles relax. Let gravity pull your arms and head toward the ground. At first you may not reach further than your knees. Each day you will drop a little more until after a couple of weeks you can touch your toes. DON'T STRAIN. Just allow muscles to relax and spine to separate naturally.
3. When you have bent over and released your breath, take another deep breath and VERY SLOWLY return to standing position with arms in air. Release your breath as you slowly bring arms back to sides.
This may sound too easy and not helpful but I have done it for 40 years and I am same the same height I was in high school. This exercise not only improves your posture, but deeply relaxes you and actually "stretches" your spine!

I am a nurse and although many other people are trying to tell you that you can increase your height with yoga and stretching you can't!!! That is ridiculous. There is one way and its surgery that is commonly performed on midgets. They break your legs at the knee and insert prosthetic extensions. |

There is a surgery being performed somewhere in Asia to help augment the height. Of course, this will require a lot from a person. There are always high heels, slimming outfits, and good posture to help a make a person seem taller. It is a matter of projecting yourself. Don't forget to take calcium also. This would help prevent osteoporosis and the eventual shortening of a person when they reach old age. |

One of the things that you can try is using the pull-up bar. Just hang from it with your arms and back stretched and perform short swings back and forth. It might marginally increase your height. Better than nothing though. |

go back in time and pick taller parents, other than massive amounts of growth hormones, genetics determine your height and there's nothing you can do about it you can wear high heels to give the illusion of height as well as vertical stripes, but ultimately its what's inside that counts. height doesn't matter at all, you want people to love you for you and not what you look like anyway.............peace |

Swimming, warm water exercise, stretching will make your spine straighter and more relaxed. Surgery can make your thigh bones longer, but very painfully. Depending on your age, castration can make a huge difference. The Italian "castratos" were often strangely tall without hormones to seal the ends of the growing leg bones. |

Well, once you reached your height that's about it. But, I learned a few fashion tips---never wear same color shoes as your dress, if they match, it will give appearance of short legs---wear thin pin stripes--wear jeans that have the look of markings like stripes in them. Wear tops with angled stripes in them -- not always up and down stripes. Hope this helped some. |
