Why do I wake in the morning with a pulled muscle in my inner calf?
For the past year or two I've been waking up in the morning with my inner calf hurting like crazy; it feels like a pulled muscle and it hurts A LOT. I used to wake up to these pulled muscles almost two or three times every week, but then they stopped happening. It happened again this morning though, I woke up with my left calf muscle pulling really hard, and it's still sore now.
Its due to poor blood circulation.Also see that you eat balanced meals and lots of fruit and veg and plenty of water. Take care of your health or it will get worse. Do yoga exercise everyday, buy a yoga disc and learn and follow at home.

It sounds like you have been getting cramps in the night-you should see a doctor as it has happened so many times.

You should get an anatomic matress and pillow and all soreness will stop. Trust me.

It sounds to me as though you have cramp. This can be growing pains if you are young, if you are older then it could because from your diet you maybe lacking something.
If it's really bad then you should consult your doctor but if it's not that bad go to your local health food shop and they will advise if there is a supplement you could take for it. Hope this helps.

I am not a Dr and you may have serious problem I recommend talking to your PCP about this. You may have a potassium problem when you pee a lot your body can get low on Potassium and that will make you muscles contract very hard I have this problem because I have to take diuretics. Try eating a piece of fruit preferably a banana before you go to bed and one in the morning for a while. Banana's are the pimps of the fruit world one can restore all your Potassium you need for a day. Please get checked because cramps like that can be a sign of serious health issues.

It's very common to have lower leg cramps while sleeping. You may be dehydrated, these are called charley horses. Cramps in the calf muscle can be defused by outstretching the leg, pushing the heel downward, and pointing your toes toward your head. Standing up with most of your weight on the ball of the foot on the cramping side will also stretch the gastroc muscle and defuse the pain. If you feel a cramp starting, this would usually stop it from becoming more painful. Persistent cramps should be treated by a doctor
