Why are my eyes watering????
just recently my eye has have started to water a ton and sting totally randomly! like i'll just be sitting there (or today, marching) and it'll start watering and stinging a lot. in fact, it's doing it right now...and it's just my left eye! i wear contacts, if that makes a difference, but i took them out mid-day when they started to get all blurry. right now i am not wearing contacts but my eye is watering. Additional Details oh and i don't think i have any allergies.
Maybe you have something in your eye irritating it. Rinse it out with some cold water or saline solution.

Especially with contacts, when you are just focusing on things, reading, like watching tv, computer, whatever, your eyes get a little dry, you know? You don't blink as often.

Contacts can dry your eyes out. Oddly enough, your eyes can sting, itch, and water when you have dry eyes. You can try some over the counter eyedrops. You can also check with your eye doctor. Do you have another pair of lenses you can try wearing? Could be that there's a problem with the contact itself.

I bet it's it's cause your eyes are dried out, you can go get eye drops for that and it ought to clear it right up. Or you could have allergies, which also causes stuff like that.

My eyes do the same thing (like right now, in fact) and I found out that it is indeed allergies--either to pollen in the air, dust, pet dander, etc. The thing that works best for me is Tylenol Allergy formula--and within about 10 minutes. Also, if you sit in front of a computer screen a lot, that could make your eyes water.
