VERY DESPERATE & FRUSTRATED - trouble putting contact lens on!?
This is the 2nd time I spent over $100 out-of-packet money to buy and try a pair of contact lens. The 1st time and this time is the same. I CANNOT put my conntact lens on by myself no matter how hard and how long I tried. I am so frustrated I am in tears and feeling desperate.
I wet my lens quite well and I put eye drops on my eyes so it won't be too dry when I was putting them on. I COULDN'T!
I tried numerous degrees of wetness in both the lens and my eyes. It didn't help. I just COULDN'T get them on.
I need glasses and really want to wear contact lens instead. But, how come even a child can put contact lens on but not me?!
Oh, I did use my fingers to open my eye lids and the under eye wide open (and I can touch my eye balls with no problem) but the lens stick back to my finger instead of to my eye ball. The lens just wouldn't go into the eye. I pressed ever so slightly but the lens turned over and stick back on my finger.
I am so very FRUSTRATED! Any ideas will be most welcomed
try not soo much liquid. i want contacts too, but im scared of something like that and im not thta good with the whole, touch your eye thing. good luck

Make sure the contact is on the very TIP of the first finger.
Most of the time the edges make contact first and you get suction.
Are you absolutely certain they aren't inside out? They should be cupped higher than flatter.

i had that too, but my dad told me exactly how to do it, i've had noo problems yet! First get a mirror, and set it on your bathroom counter. Then put your contact on your finger. put some liquid on the part of the contact that will touch your eye, then stick your pinky in it and get it so its wet, but so there isn't any pooled. then open your eye like you did, staring DOWN onto the mirror. when you get it in, still hold your eye open, and if needed very slightly move the contact into the correct place, then gently blick to focus it. Hope i could help you!

Aww..... Thats just how i felt two weeks ago.
Make sure you also arent pressing so hard because the lens will turn around and stick to your finger.
Make sure you dont get them too wet. Also take little breaks dont make your eyes so red.
Okay heres what you do:
1. Take your dominant hand and take your middle finger on that hand and pull the lid down.
2. Next take your other hand and pull up your top eyelid. Make sure you do this as wide as you can.
3. put the contact on your dominant hands pointer finger and just gently place it in. But do not press very hard becuase the contact must make asuction cup and pressing wont allow that. Also make sure to not blink right away
