Have you ever had a Friend or a Family member with Cancer?
May i ask who it was? And what kind of cancer it was? We found out my Mom had kidney cancer after she passed away. We didn't know when she was alive she had cancer. And is your family member or friend on Chemo? Or anything? I will keep them in my prayers. God Bless.
My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer 8 years ago. It was found very early due to a routine PSA test. It was slightly elevated and the dr was going to let it go but my father insisted on further testing. He had surgery and is doing well.
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with lung cancer two years ago when having a chest xray for a bad cough. It was found early and she had surgery and chemotherapy and is also doing well.
A year and a half ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer from a routine mammogram. Mine was Stage 2B and I had lumpectomy then mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation. So far so good.

My Aunt, my Dad's sister, had kidney cancer. She was in so much pain, and it was so hard to watch my vital Aunt die of this disease. My cousin, who was just 34 at the time, has successfully been treated for breast cancer. She was given a brand new therapy for women under 40, and it cured her breast cancer. I've just gotten through with therapy for ovarian cancer. My cousin and I are doing really well! :oD
I think we are seeing more and more people come down with the various cancers at a younger age because of the toxins and pollutants in our environment and the growth hormones in our meat, poultry and pork. It's hard to be much less eat healthy.

Well my mom died in October 07 from Renal Carsinoma at the age of 57... it was so horrible to watch my mom go from being the care giver to having to be the one that someone had to take care of.. VERY HARD!:(

Yes my beloved father god bless his soul.My father died from lung cancer 25 years ago. He hid is illness from the family. My mother said autopsy showed my father didn't get any treatment. My father smoked camel cigarettes and worked construction without a mask I'm sure both contributed to his cancer. My heart goes out to you as well.

Yes. My sister has cartilage tumor that is a sarcoma. My uncle has colon cancer. I have breast cancer.
My sister is OK she is in remission. My uncle has colon cancer but his has spread to other body parts. My tumor had me in Stage IIIb which includes involvement in Lymph Nodes and the tumor attached itself to my muscle. I had a Radical Mastectomy on 8/13/08. I am still healing from that but I got clean margins which means they removed the cancer during surgery. I have radiation in about 2 weeks. That should be interesting.
My sister - her cancer does not respond to chemo
My uncle - is in the middle of chemo
Myself - finished chemo a month ago. My hair is just starting to grow back.
I am so sorry about your Mom. Cancer sux. It is a horrible disease and my heart goes out to her and to you. No one should have to suffer and die from this ****** of a disease.

My mother passed away of acute myeloid leukemia complications. I've been told I'm in the early stages of breast cancer, and am having another sonogram next month.
It's very difficult to overcome a mother's death, esp. as you didn't know why she was so ill until afterward. Since you have questions, may I suggest trying out a few support groups for family members whose loved one(s) passed away of cancer?
My best to you.

My close friend was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in April of '07. She underwent low doses of chemo to help her have a quality of life in her remaining months. She died this past Sunday (August 17).
My sister-in-law also had breast cancer, but after her mastectomy, she survived.
