Sorry to hear about you mum.
It's four years since my diagnosis with grade 3 breast cancer, and I'm fit and well so far.
Someone I know was first diagnosed 18 years ago; she was diagnosed with secondary cancer 6 years ago.
This week a friend died less than 18 months after her initial diagnosis. |

My mother-in-law has breast cancer. She had it when I met her 7 years ago. I don't know how long before that. They will treat it with chemo and it goes into remission for awhile then comes back. She has been on chemo now for the past two years and now it has spread into her liver. But she is still fairly good. But the chemo is really getting to her now. |

My mother survived 17 years.
My grandfather survived 10 years
My aunt survived 48 years.
Every case is different. |

My mother found out she had breast cancer about 3 years ago. After 2 more years of treatment she will be considered cured. |

My cousin's mother in law went to the doctor over 30 years ago with a breast that looked like an orange. She had a mast and a year of chemo and she's still here, in her 80s, healthy.
I had my surgery 06 and chemo 07 and hopefully I'll be around a lot longer than 30 years!
That all being said, I'm very sorry about your mom. It's so hard losing our moms. Hugs |
