Is it normal to feel the bottom edge of your contact lens on your eye?
everytime i put in my contact it feels like the bottom edge of the lens sinks to the bottom of my eyelid... why is this happening and is it normal?? i just got contacts yesterday
sink? you can see clearly rite? as long as you see you'll be fine, it just takes a while to get used to

Ya I have been using them for years and sometimes I get like that when they are dry or I take a nap in them (don't nap in them tho its not good). Use some eye drops and if you're still worried take them out and clean them. Its something your eyes aren't used to so once you wear them more often you will hardly notice.
SAY HELLO
Your eyes are probably dryed out, try getting use to them first.

what you're describing sounds like you may have astigmatism and your optometrist has fitted you for toric lenses. if so, the sinking feeling you experiencing is because your lenses are weighted on one side to insure your lenses are placed on the proper axis. this is necessary with toric lenses because your eyes require two different corrections, ( spherical and cylindrical). you've only had your contacts for a day so i assume you'll be returning for a follow-up visit to see how they are working out. if it is uncomfortable or hinders your vision, don't wait for your scheduled follow-up. go back and tell your doctor. but if you are wearing toric lenses, this is normal in the beginning. AGAIN, if it's uncomfortable and irritating go back to you doctor ASAP.

If you just started wearing cl's it is very common to feel it. the bottom of the soft lens extends just under the bottom lid (you can see it in the mirror, a dark line just outside the colored part of the eye)
You should have been put on a wearing schedule to build up wear time-if not try this:
day 1 4-6 hours
day 2 6-8 hours
day 3 7-8 hours
day 4 8-10 hours
day 5 all day long
Be sure to use rewet drops about every 3-4 hours and right before you take them out-the are easier to remove when wet and less chance of scratching your eye
